Witness Pakistan’s lunar leap on Friday

Pakistan’s Institute of Space Technology (IST), in collaboration with China’s Shanghai University SJTU and Pakistan’s national space agency SUPARCO, has developed the ICUBE-Q satellite. The orbiter, equipped with two optical cameras to capture images of the lunar surface, will launch as part of China’s Chang’e6 mission.

After passing successful qualification and testing, the satellite has been integrated with the Chang’e6 lunar exploration program, the sixth installment in China’s lunar exploration series.

The launch will be streamed live on the IST website and social media platforms on this Friday. Chang’e6 is set to land on the moon’s far side, collect samples, and return them to Earth for research.
